Introduction[]
Born in his father's 30s, Pang Bo is Ye Fan's best friend since their first year in university in Jinan, Shandong during the first decade of 2000. He is an atavistic distant descendant of an unknown Monster/Demon God of Earth from his father's side. This Monster/Demon God connection later made the Third Valley Lord from the Myriad Demon/Monster Valley of Mount Daba start a hidden, but fruitless investigation, into the unknown bloodline. He works at an unknown company after graduation.
Three years after his 2007 graduation, he was barely able join the class reunion day. He mysteriously appeared in the bronze coffin. He later joined Spirit Ruins Paradise as a rare and talented immortal sprout. After three months of comprehending cultivation common sense with Ye Fan, Pang Bo began cultivation.[14] Two months later, he sensed his Wheel of Life and four months afterwards, he and Ye Fan have attended public lectures.[15][16] Because he had the chance to rejuvenate and eat a sacred red fruit in Ancient Desolation Forbidden Lands after leaving, he slowly awakened his diluted bloodline.
During his initial exploration of Demon/Monster Emperor: Emperor Azure/Qīng 青帝's tomb with Ye Fan, he was captured by the Demon/Monster Race where a deceased 19th generation direct descendant of Emperor Qīng tries to slowly take over his body. However, Pang Bo's soul was not erased due the value of Earth's Ancient China culture and its interstellar boundary related to past Great Emperors. This descendant was a previous Supreme Being, therefore, held the Earth with great reverance. Under Emperor Qīng's ancient scripture the descendant owned, Pang Bo's bloodline increased it's awakening.
Several years later, with the help of Ye Fan and Sovereign Black, Emperor Azure/Qīng's Supreme Being descendant was suppressed in Pang Bo's body and his cultivation promoted by leaps and bounds. He obtained a Four Pole Realm cultivated body and successfully refined the descendant, becoming the inheritor. Pang Bo decided to stay and masquerade as the descendant to help Ye Fan as a background when he was free.[17][18] Since then, the brotherly pair lead several adventures through the Eastern Wastelands' regions with the increasing comrades.
Etymology[]
庞 Páng is formed by two radicals: 广 yǎn for hut, 龙 lóng for Chinese Dragon. "Housing the dragon". 庞 means huge; big; disorderly; messy; shape of the face; facial contours.
博 Bó is formed by two radicals: 十 shí for 10; topmost; utmost, 尃 fū for to diffuse; scatter. "Widespread faraway." 博 means abundant; plentiful; rich; wide; broad.
庞博 Páng Bó describes "The family dragon spreads their majesty to the wide world and beyond" or "For great abundance." It is also a homonym of 磅礴 Pángbó meaning boundless, majestic; magnificent. The 磅礴 homonym was referred several times towards Pang Bo during the Shrouding the Heavens story.

Before Cultivation: When Pang Bo first appeared in the coffin, he held his mobile phone and had "bushy eyebrows and big eyes" with a sturdy body.[19] As the name suggests, he has a "majestic (磅礴 páng bó, homonym)" appearance, but he is not fat, but really strong, burly man, his arms are almost as thick as ordinary people's legs.[20] He inherited his tall burly figure from his father.[21] His rejuvenation in the Ancient Desolation Forbidden Lands turned him into an eleven year old.[14]
After being possessed by Emperor Azure/Qīng's descendant, he had thick waist long black hair, thick healthy bronze gloss limbs and a height over the average human. He also began to dress topless.[17][18]

As an immortal disciple of Spirit Ruins Paradise, Pang Bo wore its formal disciple outfit. Unlike in the novel, he grew out his hair to waist length and possessed bracer magic weapons for armguard and close combat during his months of cultivation introduction.

Pang Bo possesses a resolute disposition accompanied by a nuanced sensibility. His upbringing under the red flag has not only endowed him with a robust character but also instilled in him a subtle bias against individuals who do not exhibit a Chinese appearance. This bias, while not overt, reflects a trace of prejudice deeply rooted in his background.[20] He has a stubborn will that can survive three mortal years of isolation in gloomy darkness[18], two-and-half years in an extinct volcano's deadly refining formation[26], twelve years of being a fugitive, and some years in a Great Emperor's Tomb eating wooden coffin boards.
At heart, Pang Bo feared the unknown possibility of losing hope for his family if he returned to Earth, therefore he left all hope to Ye Fan.[27]

Mid-20's Pang Bo did not make it in time to attend the majority of his college reunion that started on June 11, 2010. To allow a Mount Tai tour, the reunion period was extended. Based on his account, once Pang Bo completed his family matters , he managed to attend the Mount Tai class group tour on June 16, 2010, but reached its foot when the class reunion group already climbed up the mountain. Therefore, he had to ride the cable car along the ropeway up the mountain to the tallest Jade Emperor Peak near sunset. He hugged a nearby large tree during the collision accident while approximate to Ye Fan's group in the giant pit. He was intercepted by the spontaneous Three World Bronze Coffin, sucked in with the others as he ran over to witness the glowing oracle bone script event, and became the surprise thirtieth traveler on board. His former classmates (excluding Ye Fan who vouched his identity) thought he was a ghost. He was famous in the class alongside Ye Fan for their physical ability.
The Three World Bronze Coffin brought the thirty adults to Mars (Yinghuo). He followed the group to search the mysterious light glow Buddhist temple and became the last to take its sealing Buddhist relic, the Great Leiyin Temple Copper Sign. Unknowingly, the removed copper sign chained reaction unbound the eighteenth layers of Immortal Platform Realm evil cultivators by the actions of Shakyamuni. He defended himself from the crocodile serpents from harming him and Ye Fan as they traveled back from the temple. The coffin's transpiration circle had a sufficient barrier to resist some crocodile serpents before shattering. The class group managed to return to the coffin after losing 13 members, but Pang Bo later retaliated upon discovering Li Changqing at Liu Yunzhi's behest tried to sneak attack Ye Fan during the Mars survival. This incident divided the class group. With enough crocodile serpents dead, their cultivator blood unintentionally sacrificed to empower the Mars transportation jade platform and restarted the Three World Bronze Coffin. The coffin was set to fly to Northern Dipper (Beidou). The released Crocodile Ancestor under the Great Leiyin failed to stop the coffin, was repelled by the remnant energies within the Buddhist relics and the survivors re-entered the coffin to travel. At the last moment before boarding, Pang Bo retrieved the mineral water bottles left behind by his deceased classmates near the coffin.
During the journey to Northern Dipper, another classmate was murdered by an unassuming crocodile serpent previously unintentionally bunch-wrapped-in-coat by Ye Fan (later culprit revealed to be the remnant evil spirit of a Ancient Desolation Sacred Body sealed by Shakyamuni; strangulation). Suspiciously, the surviving class group did not get hungry within the coffin during both times contrary to their non-cultivator status.

Pang Bo, Ye Fan and his group (Hei Huang, Ji Ziyue, Dongfang Ye, Sacred Prince, etc) traveled to the Yuhua Great Emperor Ancestral Temple in the Central States. There the Earthlings scrambled to access the ancient star map and altar. They successfully discovered the Earth (Blue Star) recorded star map, but during the confrontation between three Imperial treasures, Pang Bo's awakened blood inheritance teleported him far away to the temple's East, the Eastern Wastelands. Before Ye Fan's departure on the Blue Star starry road, Li Xiaoman spited Pang Bo in front of her ex-boyfriend for her current misfortunate situation and just to crack their brotherhood by slandering him as a "Great Evil (Bane)" who harmed Ye Fan.[15]
Risk the Earth - Pang Bo's Ancestry
After over twenty years since Pang Bo's reunion group was swept to Běidǒu Starry Sky, his Pang family moved to the South to City N. His father is nearly 80 years old by then. He has an elder brother older than him by two to three years. There is also a nephew through his only brother.
Mount Daba's Myriad Demon/Monster Valley's Third Valley Lord personally discovered Pang Bo's paternal family to be hidden descendants of an unknown ancient Monster/Demon God (Great Saint) bloodline. The incident on Mount Tai prompted Third Valley Lord to launch an one sided investment support for Pang Bo out of his heart's intuition. Since then, a transformed "Pang Bo" lived as the true Pang Bo in the Pang family for over a decade before Ye Fan's return to Earth. This filial "Pang Bo" stayed in the Pang family to conduct in-depth investigate more about their ancient bloodline and did not harm Father Pang at all even when drunk. Unfortunately, "Pang Bo" did not learn much and stayed there until his death by Heavenly Tribulation after the Pang family moved to the South. The deceased Great Emperor - Monster Emperor Pang Bo, resurrected twice. The first death, as a reflected shadow, was during the Soul River War, his Heavenly Court besieged by various forces at the enemy's Soul River outpost. The conflict's result was their great world destroyed and many buried during the great turmoil. He was resurrected through his reflected shadow in the Heavens and his true body was hidden with others' in the secret Great World open by Immortal Emperor apex Heavenly Emperor Yè of the two Heavenly Emperors, who hid their own main true bodies as seeds in Chu Feng's burial jar.[37] In the Great World, Pang Bo and others cultivated hard and most became Quasi-Immortal Emperors (Daozu).[25]

Cultivation[]
Pang Bo began his cultivation as a rejuvenated eleven year old youngster.[14] He spent less than a year with Ye Fan to learn the common sense and basic cultivation knowledge, then use several months to sense and slightly open his Sea of Bitterness.
Because Pang Bo was possessed for a few years by the Supreme Being 19th generation direct descendant of Emperor Azure/Qīng, his cultivation quickly ascended to the Four Pole Realm (mainly in the half year before reuniting with Ye Fan in Azure Jiao King's territory), but was routed by fate to be a Demon/Monster cultivator. Once freed, the masquerading Pang Bo utilized the racial faction connections and resources to improve his cultivation until he was forced to leave at the Immortal Platform's Supreme Being Stage. At this point of less than a century old, Pang Bo became a loose cultivator and later a permanent official companion of Heavenly Emperor Ye and his Heavenly Court.
Due to his independent adventures and accompanying Ye Fan since the latter's failed Four Pole Realm breakthrough, Four Pole Pang Bo obtained life-death opportunities and extremely rare resources. These allowed him to breakthrough the Dragon Transformation Realm and reach its ninth stage within less than five years. Before Ye Fan's return to Earth, the pair used all their financial resources to hoard cultivation materials for their future Immortal Platform Realm.
It is unknown what Pang Bo severed during his Immortal Platform Realm Stage 3 Heavenly Tribulation. It is also unknown what his Emperor enlightenment "great tool" is. During Ye Fan's first return trip to their classmates' Earth, it is revealed Pang Bo's paternal line is a lost descendant of an unknown Demon God/Monster God (Great Sage) powerhouse. Before the incident on Mount Tai, Pang Bo himself contained enough bloodline purity to be noticed by the Third Valley Lord of Myriad Demon/Monster Valley on Mount Daba. Later, Pang Bo was partially valued by the 19th generation descendant for his hidden bloodline body.
As a Quasi-Immortal Emperor, it is unknown what cultivation system Pang Bo innovated for the world.

The drawback is the participants suffering any damage occurred during the fight. Later retrieved by Divine Bridge Ye Fan. An obsolete former Saint treasure melted into smelting material.
- Pang Bo's Refined Device 庞博的炼器 - the self-refined tool/utensil "器" by the cultivator, usually since the Wheel and Sea Realm to not become a limited growth device [Ex: Great Emperor Héng Yǔ], to grow, carry the owner's Dao and accompany oneself to prove the Dao (Immortal Platform Realm Stage 3) then with enlightenment of the Dao (Great Emperor). As the former Supreme Being's possessed vessel aiming to be the next Great Emperor, Pang Bo already possessed a self-refined device be the time he regained his freedom at the Four Pole Realm. - Nine Reversals Divine Talisman 九转神符 (Ch. 895, 1369, 1723 [1718]/636, 680) - limited n-use talisman relic made by the Chaos Great Emperor. One of the two pieces spoils-of-war owned by Ye Fan gifted to his disciple Ye Tong and sworn-brother Pang Bo. Initially used to block four fatal incidents for several decades in the Yǒnghéng Starry Sky's Monster Sovereign's Tomb. Discovered by Pang Bo when he was tricked and trapped in Xuě Yuèqīng's Void Tomb. - Goddess Furnace 神女炉 (Ch. 902~903) - temporarily borrowed Legacy-type Saint treasure from Yan Xixi. Controls nature fire and used as a defense/anti-aircraft gun.

- As part of the Heavenly Court allusion, Emperor Azure for Pang Bo relates to Cangdi, just similar to Shrouding the Heavens alluding to Fengshen Yangyi. Of the trilogy, his best friend Ye Fan alludes to the Grand Pure One Daode Tianzun of the Sanqing.
- He collected the mineral water bottles from his classmates' corpses on Yinghuo when the Buddhist treasures repelled Crocodile Ancestor and the Three World Bronze Coffin began taking off. These mineral water bottles were used to hold volumes of Ancient Desolation Forbidden Lands' Sacred Spring Waters.
- The old blind man possessed Pang Bo's soul lamp since they entered the Yuhua Great Emperor Ancestral Temple.
